The Farm

Three generations,
one passion.

We - Katrin and Andreas - are the third generation to run this traditional Vierkanthof farmhouse in the Traunviertel. Wheat, barley and maize grow in our fields, and our woods are just a three-minute walk away - sunshine, quiet and views of the mountains to the east, south and west.

The history shows in countless little details. The former grain silos are now a much-loved sun deck with panoramic views. An inscription dates the vaulted hall to at least 1866, and it has been gathering stories ever since. The wedding barn - once a shed for combine harvesters - now glows beneath chandeliers.

The vaulted cellar in the Vierkanthof is more than 120 years old, and all the reclaimed wood comes from the original press house. Everything has been lovingly restored with an architect's guidance, and fitted with modern lighting and sound.

Katrin

The wedding whisperer.

After years of teaching, countless roles leading service teams, a catering qualification and training as a mediator, I have been part of more than 140 weddings. I am the one who talks through all the details with you, plans the timeline and the styling - and on the big day I make sure everything unfolds exactly as you pictured it.

I believe that every wedding is unique, and I make sure it feels that way too.

Andreas

The all-rounder.

With a business education at the HTL and professional experience in strategy, I am your point of contact for enquiries, booking paperwork and accommodation. Alongside the work in the fields, I look after the accounts and the team - and on your wedding day I am right in the thick of it.

Fairness, honesty and reliability are the things I value most.

The Location

Nestled in
Kremstal.

Set in the middle of our own fields, standing quite alone with a view of the mountains. Right in the heart of Upper Austria - easy to reach, yet a world away from the everyday.

Our own power & heat

A photovoltaic system, with battery storage, produces the electricity we need, and our heating comes from wood chips out of our own forest.

Our own well

Our own well supplies guests and hosts alike with fresh spring water - straight from the farm, with no long journeys involved.

Nature

Nature at the heart

Surrounded by fields and woodland, we ask our couples to forgo fireworks. It is not unusual to spot deer wandering past the terrace.

Protecting resources

Sending floral arrangements home with guests, reusing boxes and crates, avoiding needless waste - this is simply how we do things.
